Start recruitment COR-PHYS study
News, RecruitmentAfter receiving the positive ethical vote for the COR-PHYS study, a further milestone has now been reached with the start of recruitment. In a first recruitment phase, people in the Basel area were contacted by means of direct mail. The aim is to recruit enough control subjects who will later be assigned to a total of 64 patients according to age, gender and comorbidities. This is necessary to ensure that the long-term effects of COVID-19 can actually be studied and not simply differences based on the health status of the two groups. In the second recruitment phase, we will recruit patients who have been hospitalised due to COVID-19 within the last 18 months. We are supported by the Barmelweid Clinic, the University Hospital Basel and the hospitals of Solothurn.
